Ritter Lumber Return Policy

Ritter Lumber reserves the right to require a valid picture ID for any return. Acceptable forms of ID include a state driver’s license, state ID card, or military ID. 

* All refunds of any amount shall include the customer’s full name, physical address, phone number, and require a customer signature. 

Credit Card:

Returns with a valid receipt will be refunded or exchanged, depending on the circumstance. Credit card and debit card purchases will be refunded to the card used for the original purchase or one featuring the same last name. 

Cash or Check:

Cash purchases with a valid receipt qualify for a cash refund. Check refunds must wait a minimum of 10 days after purchase date. In the event of a large cash refund that cannot be processed in-store, there may be a brief waiting period to receive a check for the balance owed.

Gift Card:

Without exceptions gift card purchases will be refunded on a gift card. 

Charge Accounts:

Purchases made on charge accounts will always be returned to the same account. 

30-Day Return Policy

To qualify for a return, the following items must be unused and unopened. 

• Gas Powered Equipment (STIHL not included)

• Lawn Mowers/Tractors

• Generators 

Winter/Holiday Items

Items purchased around the Christmas holiday season, including items such as Christmas lights or decorations, must be returned by December 31st of the same holiday season.

Special Orders

In general, Special Order items may not be returned or exchanged. In the rare occasion an order can be returned to the original Vendor, they generally charge a restocking fee which would be passed on to the customer. 

Manufacturer’s Warranty

Some items include a manufacturer’s warranty. These items must be handled by the manufacturer and Ritter Lumber may not be able to issue a refund or exchange such items.
